This friend has been working in movies since he graduated from college. This is THE FIRST time he has ever sent an email like this, which has really hyped me up to see it.

For more than a week, the same message kept coming to me. It arrived by four very different avenues and has echoed in my prayer life and in my heart. It is the familiar passage in the 21st chapter of the Gospel of John, verses 15 through 18, in which the resurrected Savior asks Simon Peter three times, paraphrasing, “Do you love Me?” Each time, Peter answers, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”
This week, I heard Jesus asking me over and over, “Gregg, do you love me?”
I do not believe the following labels apply to me:
working mother
career woman
stay-at-home-mom (SAHM)
work-at-home-mom (WAHM)
housewife
full-time mom
Personally, the label I prefer is that of Homemaker.
Go take pictures of your kids. Wrap your arms around your husband’s neck and take a picture of the two of you. Hand the camera over to someone sitting next to you in the restaurant and have him take a picture of you and your family.
About three weeks ago, Geri at Heart and Soul Cooking presented me with this blog award. I was so excited! Then I got busy with Gregg coming home and having him home that I forgot to send it forward!
I meet with friends semi-annually at the nearby outlets to share a meal, quickly catch up on our lives, and give our children a chance to play together. We look forward to this so much. It is not just about the outlet deals, but the camaraderie and fun associated with the trip.

Sadly, our culture has shifted its focus to the dazzling lights and away from a dazzling Savior. Commercialism has swallowed whatever Christmas used to be before it was this. Battles are fought over the very name of the holiday, and Santa Claus is embraced more freely than the infant Jesus.1 Santa is an icon in modern culture, and his image is used to sell everything from soda to sports cars. How is a Christian to view Santa in light of the true meaning of Christmas?
