Menu for the week of 17 August 2011
The “rules” of our household diet can be found in the tab above labeled Hallee’s Galley and further explained in Our Diet.
I usually serve leftovers for lunch the next day, or we’ll save them during the week to graze lunch on the weekends. One meal a week, we eat whatever we want. This is usually our “Dinner Out” meal.
Almost all of the breads are homemade using fresh milled flour. I’ll continue to link to my recipes as I post them. Our daily bread is Whole Wheat Honey Oatmeal Bread.
Here’s the menu for my family for the week of August 17th. We pick my husband up tonight at the airport and he is home to stay! From now on, my menus will be for our entire family! As far as desserts go, this week I will be making Stuffed Red Velvet Cookies for my husband, and a batch of Hershey’s Mini-Kisses cookies for Kaylee’s school lunch. I also have a big batch of pears from a friend at church, so I’m going to attempt a Pear Tart, and will hopefully be posting that recipe soon!

So glad your hubby is home!!! My oldest son is over there right now with the Marines and we pray for those guys every day.
(Your menu looks delicious too!)
Congrats on your homecoming – I am looking to plan some good stuff for my husband too :) We’re in the homestretch for this deployment!
