Thirty-nine years ago today, I was born. It seems very strange. I don’t feel like I’ve lived long enough, have enough authority to be, or have enough experience to claim thirty-nine years. I remember when my parents were my age, and they seemed completely in control, larger than life, in charge, and in authority. Inside, I often feel none of those things, and I wonder if my parents felt the same way as they approached landmark years.
I find it hard to believe that I’ll be teaching my daughter to drive next year, yet I have friends from high school whose children are off to college or are already parents themselves. Strange how I’m old enough to be a grandmother a couple times over, yet I have a two-year old.
God has really worked in my life in the last few years, and He isn’t finished yet. I know He has big plans for me, and I look forward to the next thirty-nine years, and then some.
For a birthday present to me, pop over to our missions giveaway for March. I want to hear about your favorite missions – what means the most to you? Last year we had such a tremendous response with a fraction of the readers and half of the donation amount. I’m not certain what has you all so quiet this year, but don’t be! Tell me about it! I want to read about your favorite ministry or charity and I can’t if you don’t share. Doing so might win it a $100 donation!

Happy Birthday Hallee, I’m thankful you were born! :)
Hallee, I tried to post a comment here yesterday, but it would tell me it couldn’t find the post.
So a day late:
Happy Birthday, friend! Hope it was wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your wisdom with me. I agree wholeheartedly with today’s post, by the way.
Hugs.
