Merry Christmas
Hundreds and even thousands of years before Jesus the Messiah was born in Bethlehem, God spoke through men like Moses, David, Isaiah, and Micah to tell us about Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection. In order for Jesus to be the true Messiah, He had to fulfill every prophecy that was ever spoken and written about him…and He did. Every single one!
Here are just a few:
Isaiah prophesied that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14)…and He was (Matthew 1:18-25).
Micah said that He would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)…and He was (Matthew 2:1-6).
Hosea wrote that He would be taken into Egypt (Hosea 11:1)…and He was (Matthew 2:15).
Isaiah wrote He would heal the sick and make people whole (Isaiah 53:1-12)…and He did (Matthew 8:1-33).
David described His crucifixion (Psalm 22:14-17)…and it was fulfilled (Matthew 27:31).
Isaiah said He would die for our sins (Isaiah 53:1-12)…and He did (John 1:29, John 11:49-52).
David said He would be raised from the dead (Psalm 16:10)…and He was (Matthew 28:1-10).
In celebration of His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection, and in anticipation of all that we have to look forward to when He returns, my family and I would like to wish you a very blessed and merry Christmas.
