Amazingly Simple Stuffed French Toast
I heard someone on Twitter say they use their George Foreman grill to make pannini sandwiches, and I immediately thought about stuffed French toast. One morning, I tried it, and it was amazing – and so easy!
Cut a banana in half, then cut that half into three slices lengthwise.
Using whole wheat French Bread, prepare Family Favorite French Toast.
Dip bread into mixture. Only coat one side.
Place slice on the heated grill egg side down. Add 3 slices of the banana.
Dip another piece of bread into the egg mixture, only wetting one side, and place on top of the banana, egg side up.
Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes.
Make sure you have something to catch the egg mixture that will be squeezed out of the bread from the weight of the grill.
After 2 minutes, turn over and grill for 2 minutes more.
Dust with powdered sugar.
I would love to hear any feedback about this recipe. Did you make it? Did you enjoy it? Did you make any adjustments to it?
