I just found you because I read your guest blog about the soup kitchen. I to am in KY and my husband is also in Afghanistan.
I really enjoyed this article. It wasn’t until recently that I actually became aware of food additives and how they can damage your body. I always served my kids whole wheat breads, fresh fruits and vegetables, but also served them too many unhealthy homemade treats! I’m a big baker and that was my downfall! I now read everything and just buy whole foods. I was never big on processed items before, so it wasn’t that huge of a leap for me, but it was hard giving up baking. I’m still in the process of re-learning how to bake (and cook) healthy foods! Thank you for your wonderful website, it’s been very helpful and so encouraging to me!
