I just made this soup and it is amazing! I had neither cider or apple jack, so I improvised using a dusty juice box I found in the back of the pantry. I just reduced it down to concentrate the flavors of apple and pear juice. It worked really well. Thanks for this recipe.

This looks tasty. I think I will try it today for lunch with the kiddos. I am going to try it with some canned squash that I did up.
