BEST … COOKIE … EVER!!!
Where do you buy coconut oil? I have to admit I have never looked for it, but as far as I can recall I haven’t seen it in the grocery store…
Sometimes I can find it in the oil section of the grocery store – sometimes I have to go to the organics section. It just depends on the store. If your grocery store doesn’t have it (which it should) I know Whole Foods and Fresh Market carry it. It’s in a glass jar – like a mason jar – not a bucket or a pourable container. It’s a solid oil.
I’ve seen these cinnamon chips for years, just never had an inkling to buy them until you *insisted*, lol! These cookies are, in fact, amazing!! I left out the raisins (personal preference). I did bake them probably a minute too long (I set the timer for 10 minutes & made the mistake of going downstairs…Paige was supposed to tell me when it went off, but she didn’t! That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!) They are still great, just a tad crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle. Luckily I only baked 1/3 of the cookies–I split the rest of the batter into two containers for the freezer to make at a later date.
Once again, Hallee, you have impressed!
Joanne – that is so awesome. Thank you for telling me that -I’m SO glad that they were a hit for you!!
Excellent! I love that they have whole wheat flour. I am always so afraid to try using whole wheat instead of unbleached white. These turned out great! Keep the recipes comin’…!
That’s so awesome that you were able to find the chips! Did you find the coconut oil, too?
I shouldn’t even say this cause he will probably start hiding them now….but im honest….everytime Gregg left the room….i ate another cookie :-/ …and eventhough i eat everybodys food in this office…i’ve never felt more like a fiend until i was breaking into the plastic containers everytime Gregg got up and left….i had to ask myself what have i become….i was literally a cookie monster…but they’re just awesome…you should mass produce them….those cookies could single handedly win the war on terrorism….i personally think i deserve my own batch. I will write a dissertation on it if need be….or i will hold Gregg for ransom…The End :)
okay I am now on a mission to find cinnamon chips… hopefully it won’t be too hard… cinnamon is my fave flavor!
