Blizzard Bloghop
For those of you who read me who are not in the “blogging world”, this weekend is a huge blogging conference called Blissdom. Some of us couldn’t go because an ocean separates them from Nashville, some of us chose not to go because our husbands went back to Afghanistan last weekend and we thought the stress of Mommy going away for a whole weekend would be too much for our toddlers, and some of us just couldn’t go.
As such, Ann Marie at Household6Diva came up with a beautiful idea of having a Meet and Greet for those of us who aren’t at Blissdom. All of our blogging friends are going to be standing around, sipping drinks, admiring each others’ shoes and passing out business-blog cards while chatting up their little corner of the Internet. Oh yeah – and enjoying a live concert with Harry Conick Jr.
So, if you’re here visiting from another blog, and attending this Meet and Greet, it’s wonderful to meet you. I’m Hallee Bridgeman. Here is my card:
I have a faith based homemaking blog. I focus on four major areas:
- My relationship with God. This is the most important thing in my life, and is forefront in everything that I do from loving my husband to what we eat and why we eat it. My testimony can be found here.
- Being a wife to my husband and the mother to my children. I love my family, and taking care of them is the highlight of my life. Gregg and I have been married for 8 years this year. We have three children, Kaylee (12), Scott (3), and Johnathan *Jeb* (1). Kaylee is currently spending the school year in Florida with her father so that she can go on a missions trip this summer with her youth group, and Gregg is currently in Afghanistan working on a civilian contract, so for now it’s just me and “the boys“.
- My Kitchen. Nicknamed Hallee’s Galley by my husband, Gregg, and some friends. The story for that can be found here. I love sharing recipes, hearing about recipes, sharing kitchen tips, sharing lessons learned.
- My Home. Creating a home that my children love and my husband is proud of is of the utmost importance to me. I want it to be a place of sanctuary and hospitality – a place where someone coming in will know that God is the head and love overflows.
On Saturday, my blog will celebrate it’s 6-month anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been 6 months. At times I feel like I started it yesterday, and at times I feel like I’ve been doing it my whole life. In that time, I’ve met some amazing friends, I was invited to participate in kitchenstewardship’s Real Food Face-Off, and have become a participant in many different rings and communities.
I love that we’re having our own little cocktail party here. I am so looking forward to spending the evening browsing through your blogs and making new friends.
While you’re here, enter in my 6-month blogiversary. I’m giving away an 18-piece stainless steel Wolfgang Puck cookware set this Friday at 5PM EST.
Speaking of giveaways, Ann Marie at Household6Diva has a little giveaway going on with this blog hop. We’ve contributed an awesome cookbook, and she has some beautiful pottery to give away. Click here for details.
By the way – those are the cutest shoes I’ve ever seen. Where did you find them? And, yes, I’d love to meet for coffee sometime. That would be wonderful.
Hallee
I’m so grateful for your visit, today.
You would bless me if you added me to your feed reader or subscribed via email.
You can also become a fan on Facebook or follow me on Twitter. I would love to see more of you!
haha well im wearing slippers do those count?
Slippers are awesome – I love them – I tend to collect them.
Of course, I tend to collect most shoes.
And purses.
And poor Gregg – laptop cases are now on my radar.
LOL
Love your post! And your business card! I hope your week is going well! ((HUGS))
ps Speaking of slippers… I’m barefoot with burgandy toenail polish! :)
pps What is this laptop case thingy you speak of??
I might want to add it to MY radar!!! hhehehehe….
Ann Marie:
This is my latest acquisition. It’s red “alligator” leather laptop sleeve. It came with a matching passport holder and wallet. Now I’m looking for some sort of bag – or a briefcase or something – that matches it to use as my purse for my flight when I come to Europe this spring. I love this thing. LOVE it.
i need new slippers…seen as i wear them MORE than reg. shoes they are in disrepair. and that is a cool case!
Nice card!!!
Happy 6 months!!! I have had my blog for almost 4 months now and it seems like it has been so much longer.
What shoes? I’m barefoot.
Oh, the shoes in the floor next to me? Those… well, those are smelly combat boots! And they’re not mine! :)
If I haven’t told you before, I’ll tell you now- I love your blog. I always feel at home… at home enough, to take my shoes off apparently! :)
I have a neoprene laptop sleeve, and I love it when I travel… BUT its not as pretty as your alligator one! Hmm… I might need to fix that.
So nice to meet you – how have I not found you before??
Stopped by on the Blizzard Bloghop! Great blog!
Super lovely blog! I look forward to coming back here!
How fun! I am in my stocking feet – couldn’t go barefoot because my nails are in pitiful condition! How much a pedicure party in my room later? I’ll bring the chocolate! :)
oooh – I’m in! Pedicures are a wonderful idea! (So is chocolate -lol)
Just stopping by to say hello while bloghopping. This looks like a fun blog. I’ll take that cup of coffee to go, please. I’ve got about a million blogs to see.

Oh hello! I just found you via the Blizzard Bloghop and I am so glad that I did. Your blog is a lovely place.
Peace and God Bless!
Sarah
So funny because I got a new pair of shoes today. They were Toms from a Uganda fundraiser at our church that artist volunteered their time to decorate. I picked mine up today and they are amazing. Totally creative and originals so your ice breaker is perfect. They are brown with black artsy cool squiggles and Romans 10:15 on them. “Happy are the feet that bring the good news.” Love coffee. We’ll get along fine.
That’s awesome. You must take pics. I would love to see them.
Nice to meet you! Happy 6th month anniversary!

Hi Hallee,
I love your “web card”. That is such a cute idea. The laptop sleeve is awesome. I’ve been looking for a fashionable one that I can use on business trips and something like yours just might do the trick :) I’m looking forward to following your blog as I’ve recently had a desire to become more involved in my faith and hope to really start to do so in the next few months. It just seems to be taking a while to figure out exactly where I want to go with it.
