Sounds yummy! We love pulled pork but I’ve never attempted to make bbq beef. I have a nice rump roast in the freezer. Think this is going on the menu for next week! Thanks Hallee!
This sounds absolutely delightful! I think all of your recipes are amazing but something about this one has my interest piqued. I think it’s the incorporation of the root beer that makes it stand out and I can imagine it’s quite flavorful and unique. This goes on the menu next week! Thanks girl! Hugs, M.
i was just complaing to my husband that we need some more red meat in our diet b/c im sick of white meat! seems like that is all we have lately b/c its the only stuff ever on sale! can’t wait to try this!
This sounds simply yummy. I think I will do this with my next roast. So totally different than how I usually make it.
Yummy!! I think I need to buy a roast and try to make this!
oh my goodness!! this was quite simply I believe the best pulled beef/bbq I have ever eaten…this was amazing! Thank you thank you thank you Gregg for not liking bbq so I could get the leftovers!! lol
im making this recipe for the second time today! with the actual homemade bbq sauce too! i can’t wait to eat it!(it is with pork)
hallee
does the bbq sauce brand make a diff? I am planning on throwing it on today while I am at work so Richard and the girls can have something to eat tonight. Bought three diff brands and types of bbq sauce since it is something we don’t use in the house..
Brand doesn’t matter. I’ve only used homemade sauce, but really it’s what appeals to you. I used the BBQ sauce linked in this recipe, and spiced it up with some raisins (I know – sounds odd but it was REALLY good) and extra vinegar. But, Gregg likes North Carolina BBQ which is almost all vinegar. So, whatever tastes good for you!
I added smoked paprika to the BBQ sauce added a nice smokey flavor my hubby thought it was missing the first time I made it :)
I tried this – it was great. The crockpot made it very easy.
I would have never thought of combining Root Beer and BBQ beef sandwiches… gotta give this a whirl. :)
