I won’t buy pants for Jon without those. He’s in a 5 length wise, but not waist wise!
My girls (specifically B) are in the adjustable waist’s to! I Love them because even a belt wont keep pants on that skinny minny! I dont know if you have them there, but try Plato’s Closet for Kaylee, they have named brand clothes resaled and i’ve heard they’re really cheap! We usually just shop clearance racks at JCP for Ash, she’s not that overly picky, well to some extent… she is a teen LOL Congrats on the finds! I love love LOVE resale shops ;) And ebay…. most my girls matching/coordinating Gymbo stuff comes from Ebay ;)
Yup, we started pinching pennies due to Riley’s private school tuition next Fall and I had never been consignment sale shopping before either. Quite frankly, while always a bargain hunter, I didn’t feel compelled to *really* start saving until this year. Riley’s school hosted a biannual consignment sale and I was THRILLED with the finds: 30-odd articles of clothing, 2 pairs of shoes, educational learn-to-read books (8), homeschooling workbooks (3), and spiritual education workbooks (5). Plus, I even managed to purchase two brand-new-in-box X-mas gifts for Ella. Total? $61.50!! How can anyone pass that up? It looks like you made out like a bandit too! Congratulations! :)
Yea – isn’t it so fun when the Lord surprises us with these great finds? Thanks for joining up to my Frugal Fashionista show. Make sure you leave a link back to Beautyandbedlam.com so everyone can join in on the fun. :)
I linked it, Jen – sorry to forget to do that!
great finds! i don’t have such good luck at our consignment…they are usually just as much as i can get at the store. we shop the clearance racks and off season and get pants for $2 or sometimes less…my mom tends to buy most of avery’s clothes. he has the skinny problem too and love the adjustable waist as well!
We have to buy pants that have the adjustable waist too. Zade is so skinny. He wore 18 month shorts this past summer, but I have to buy 3T pants for the length.
Emily – that’s exactly what we were like with Scott. He and Jeb wore the same size shorts, but he’s 3T length.
