Gregg said, “Piltdown Man, in the textbooks when I was in high school for over 40 years, was an intentional fraud built on an orangutan jawbone and a human skull cap filed down to fit and stained with acid to add an appearance of great age.”

For goodness sake man, you were … “in high school for over 40 years” I’m no genious, but, come on…it only took me 7 years to gradgiate. ;)

Good post. Airborne or Pararescue? I can’t really make out the uniform.
    Either way…Semper Fi!!!

  • Gregg says:

101st Airborne and 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne), brother.

    God Bless.

I’m sorry that you never understood what evolution and science actually is, I hope that your god will inspire you to read real books about the subjects because many Christians accept the fact of evolution, many more than believe in the lies of the creationists. Creationists teach that we came from nothing, evolution does not say that at all and the changes in evolution is random but natural selection is absolutely not random. You really should study this, it’s hurt my heart that you reject something before understanding it. God bless.

There are so many things wrong with your comment I barely know where to begin.
      .
      1) I fully understand the theory of Darwinian evolution.
      .
      2) I do not worship a “god” that is imagined. I cannot invent His diety. I do worship God, Jehovah, the Creator of everything. and NONE of that matters in a debate over science or scientific principles.
      .
      3) I can practically guarantee you that I have read more books on creation and evolution than you have read just plain books in your lifetime. Furthermore, I have watched hundreds of documentaries and studied additional supplementary materials. You are assuming that I am ignorant based on the fact that you, in your ignorance, disagree with me. That is not only a rather arrogant stance, but also fallacious.
      .
      4) Darwinists have committed intentional frauds. Creationists do not need to. So to tar Creationists as “liars” is entirely innaccurate.
      .
      5) Creationists teach that we came from God. Darwinists preach that we came from time and randomness.
      .
      6) Darwinian evolution is not a fact. That is why it is specifically referred to as a theory.
      .

      7) I fully understand that tenets of Darwinism so let your hurt heart be at ease. I am simply intelligent enough to see through it.
      .
      May God Bless you.

Reading your post was like reading about myself. I too came to these conclusions in much the same way. I thankfully had a wonderful Christian upbringing so I knew a lot about the creator, but like most got caught up in what was taught at school about the origins of the universe so I really didn’t understand the creation. I’m not sure why, but it was never really a subject that came up as a child in Bible studies and I can only assume my parents fell prey to the same illusions as I had. But as I grew up things just didn’t seem to make sense. You just can’t mesh the two ideas. So many Christians end up doing this… “Yes, God created everything, but He probably just used evolution to do it”… it just can’t work that way. Either He created it or He didn’t. I prefer standing on a firm foundation built on unshakable evidence. I hope many read what you’ve written and then search it out for themselves. Good job.

Hi Gregg, thank you for the welcome and for sending me to this post! I see what you mean, it does sound as though you had a similar experience when coming to Christ. I suppose I prayed because it started to seem unreasonable that everything around us could come about by chance. Looking for alternative explanations obviously raised the possibility of God.
    .
Reading this post has started me wondering if Darwinism is actually a deliberate fabrication. (I know you’ve referred to this in your other posts, but I hadn’t really considered it before, as I had too many other things to think about!) It’s a shame if people are promoting it with deliberate lies. What we want is to see the evidence for each viewpoint, so we can decide. If some of the evidence is deliberately fabricated, though, we’re likely to end up getting deceived. You can come up with good evidence for anything if you make it up!
