Wow….good for you! On the post we live at in Germany, we only have AFN which has only about three channels, so our television watching has been reduced dramatically. We enjoy it because we spend more time together enjoying family time. It’s true that the world has really invaded our Christian homes and we have become numb to a lot of sin because of this.
We have not had a t.v. in 10 years. It is by far one of the best choices I have made in my life. It was an idol, and I let it steal a lot of my life through the time I spent in front of it. For movies, we check http://www.pluggedinonline.com (for reviews and to make informed choices), and I just heard about Clearplay a dvd filter that screens the bad stuff out of regular movies.
We faithfully use plugged in. I have a post about it here: http://www.halleethehomemaker.com/2009/11/plugged-in/
There used to be a company — I can’t remember the name. I know Gregg will be able to. They would produce clean DVD’s. But, Mel Gibson sued them over Passion, if I recall, and they went out of business.
